Hop Yard 62 is a craft beer bar located in historic downtown Grove City since February 6, 2015. We currently have 24 beers on tap with a weekly rotation of different beers. In fact, we try to carry at least 6 to 8 beers from Ohio and Columbus breweries at any given time. Our great can selection and 12 wines on tap along with an array of mixed cocktails and over 70 Bourbons/Whiskeys. If growlers are your thing, we are the closest growler fill station to Downtown Columbus, offering both 32 oz. and 64 oz. growlers.

Kevin Huston(Owner) moved from Tucson Arizona in late 2020 to buy Hopyard 62 which previously was the Garden Cafe on Broadway, a restaurant that hosted live music and beer/wine tastings on weekends.

The building in which Hop Yard 62 is located–known currently as the old Emmelhainz Building–was built prior to WWI and at one time housed fire trucks for the volunteer fire department. In January 2015, the space went through a nearly complete remodel. The tile was ripped up to expose the original concrete floor and local coppersmith Steve Brown built our metal bar. Ron See built the plumber’s pipe tables, benches, and bottle display as well as our eye catching front sign. Our interior was painted by Darren Baldogo.

The bar name references State Route 62, which runs in front of the bar, and a hop yard plot in Wooster that’s set up to research 10 varieties of hops. The Yard also represents a gathering spot where friends can meet. You will hear us referred to as Hop Yard, The Yard, or HY62.

What do people like about us? Besides an outstanding selection of 24 craft beers, our flights have proved to be very popular! We have a Build-Your-Own Flight for those new to craft beers. The samples are served in antique cheese boxes, matching our relaxed, small-town industrial feel.
